16ERM AG60 KIC908 High Performance Stainless Steel CNC External Thread Insert

This 16ERM external laydown threading insert features a 60° AG60 metric partial profile with integrated chipformer, paired with premium KIC908 high-performance carbide grade. It is purpose-built for high-precision external thread machining on 304, 316 and various austenitic stainless steel workpieces on CNC lathes.

The KIC908 grade adopts advanced TiCN-based PVD coating technology with exceptional anti-adhesion and wear resistance, effectively suppressing built-up edge and crater wear in continuous stainless steel threading. Precision-ground thread geometry ensures strict pitch accuracy and smooth flank finish across 0.5–3.0mm pitch ranges.

Fully interchangeable with standard 16-series external threading tool holders, this insert enables quick indexing to minimize machine downtime.
