This TNGG series triangular cermet turning insert includes TNGG160402R-S with R-F chipbreaker and TNGG160404L-S with L-S chipbreaker, available in PV720 and TG80 premium cermet grades. It is specially engineered for high-precision finishing of carbon steel, alloy steel and die steel on CNC lathes.

The high-performance cermet substrate delivers excellent wear resistance and crater resistance, maintaining sharp cutting edges for extended tool life under high-speed finishing conditions. Optimized right/left hand chip geometries ensure stable chip control, producing mirror-like surface finish with minimal burrs.

Fully compatible with standard TNGG indexable turning tool holders, these inserts support quick indexing and replacement to reduce machine downtime. They are widely applied in automotive, bearing and precision machinery industries for high-quality mass finishing operations.
