This APMT1604PDER-FN 90° square shoulder milling insert with R0.8 nose radius from Dalian SANT features premium ST5000 high-hardness tungsten carbide and optimized PDER-FN chipbreaker geometry. It is engineered for shoulder milling, face milling and semi-finishing on quenched die steel, hardened mold steel and high-hardness alloys.
The proprietary ST5000 grade delivers exceptional hot hardness and abrasive wear resistance at elevated cutting temperatures, with reinforced edge toughness to resist chipping under heavy machining loads. It achieves 3–5 times longer tool life than standard carbide grades when processing hardened steels up to HRC 60.
Manufactured to strict ISO dimensional tolerances, these inserts are fully compatible with standard BAP 400R series end mill arbors and APMT face mill cutter heads for fast indexing and drop-in replacement.
