Made of high-strength alloy steel, the shank offers excellent rigidity and vibration resistance, minimizing deformation and tool breakage during grooving and parting. The top screw clamping mechanism ensures precise insert positioning and eliminates shifting during cutting, delivering consistent groove width accuracy and smooth cut surfaces with minimal burrs.
Compatible with Universal MGMN300 Inserts for Versatility & Cost Savings
The holder works with widely available MGMN300 grooving inserts (3mm width). By simply changing inserts with different coatings, it adapts to carbon steel, stainless steel, and cast iron without replacing the holder, significantly reducing tool inventory and procurement costs. The 3mm width covers most standard groove applications for broad versatility.
Left/Right Hand Options for Multi-Scenario Machining
Available in right-hand (MGEHR) and left-hand (MGEHL) versions to suit different feed directions and machine setups. With multiple square shank sizes (1616/2020/2525), it fits most CNC lathe tool posts. Ideal for external grooving, undercutting, seal grooves, circlip grooves, and parting-off small-to-medium diameter shafts.
